“It is somewhat of a myth that children socialise in schools. Of course, they socialise in the playground but conversing with their peers was not traditionally what schools were built for. Most of the learning students do in class is solitary. Sure, they have breaktime and group projects, but overall socializing is not the sole aim of school, simply a by-product.”
